The draw for the Europa League knockout round takes place later on today (12pm) in Nyon, Switzerland and European giants Barcelona, Juventus and Ajax have all joined the competition - but Arsenal will avoid facing them for now.
The play-offs is a bonus round that was introduced last season. The eight runners-up from the Europa League group stage and the eight third-placed teams in the Champions League group game will face off before joining the likes of Arsenal, Real Betis, Feyenoord and Real Sociedad.
Arsenal, who topped their group ahead of PSV thanks to Kieran Tierney's goal at the Emirates, don't have to worry about this though. This is of increased importance as the strength of teams dropping from Europe's elite club competition is higher than ever before.
