When is the EFL Cup draw? Start time and quarter-final draw ball numbers

The EFL Cup is entering the business end of the competition as 16 teams get whittled down to eight for the quarter-finals.

Before then, though, we have eight fourth-round ties to navigate, including Frank Lampard returning to Stamford Bridge as Derby County face Chelsea and rivals West Ham and Tottenham meeting in a London derby.

The tie between Leicester City and Southampton has been postponed following the death of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in a helicopter crash outside the stadium.

When is the EFL Cup draw?

The draw takes place after Chelsea's home tie against Derby County on Wednesday night, live from Stamford Bridge.

A start time of around 9.45pm is expected.

How can I follow the draw?

The draw will be televised live on Sky Sports Football and Main Event channels.

Standard Sport will also be providing live coverage of the draw with a dedicated blog.

When are the EFL Cup quarter-finals played?

The fixtures are due to be played across December 18 and 19.
