When is the Champions League quarter-final draw? How to watch and can Man City play Chelsea

Manchester City have secured their spot in the last eight of the Champions League for a sixth successive season and today will discover their quarter final opponents.

Pep Guardiola's side thrashed RB Leipzig 7-0 in midweek to storm through having drawn 1-1 in Germany in the first leg. The last time that City were not one of the last eight teams in the Champions League was during their Catalan manager's first season in charge when Monaco advanced at their expense on away goals after playing out a 6-6 thriller over two legs.

City will be hoping to win the trophy that has so far eluded them as they seek more silverware. Here is everything you need to know about the Champions League quarter final draw.

When is it?

The final draw ceremony of the 2022/23 season takes place on Friday, 17 March and starts at 12noon local time (11am GMT; 6am ET). All of the competition's remaining ties will be decided at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, including the quarter-final, semi-final, and final.

How can I watch it?

UEFA will be streaming the draw on their website from 11am. BT Sport will also be airing it in the United Kingdom, with their coverage starting at 10:45am.

Who could City face and can they play Chelsea?

City can play any one of the other seven sides left in with no restrictions on facing teams from the same country. It means Guardiola's men could come up against Chelsea in a repeat of the 2021 final. Real Madrid, who knocked City out at the semi-final stage last season, are possible opponents as are Italian trio Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan. Benfica and Bayern Munich complete the line-up.
