The Champions League group stage draw is looming into view once more and there's Scottish involvement to keep an eye on.
The one game at a time mantra used by coaches and players worldwide will be binned by Celtic this week, with their place in the draw guaranteed after last term's title win. Rangers are also in the hat after they overcame PSV in their crucial play-off second leg in Eindhoven thanks to Antonio Colak's goal. The draw will feature 26 automatic qualifiers and six play-off round winners - which involves Gio van Bronckhorst 's side - and the group stage qualifiers are now all confirmed.
It's going to pass by before clubs even know it, with the group stage taking place over a condensed eight-week period this autumn due to the World Cup. The top two teams in each group advance to the round of 16 and the third placed team drops down into the Europa League. It's a huge deal for Scottish clubs to reach this stage and they know all too well the lucrative rewards it will - and could in Rangers' case - bring.
Record Sport looks at what teams will line up in the draw.
The teams are going to be split into four seeding pots. Pot 1 will consist of the current holders, the Europa League winners and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations who did not qualify via one of the 2021/22 continental titles.
While pots 2 to 4 are be determined by the club coefficient rankings. And that's where the Scottish contingent come in.
Pot 1 - Real Madrid , Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester City, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, PSG, Porto, Ajax.
Pot 2 - Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, RB Leipzig, Tottenham.
Pot 3 - Borussia Dortmund, RB Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan, Napoli, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica.
