When is T20 World Cup final? England vs Pakistan UK start time and how to watch for free on TV

England produced a devastating batting display on Thursday as they beat India to reach the T20 World Cup final in Australia on Sunday.

Alex Hales (86*) and Jos Buttler (80*) comfortably chased down India's total of 168 to put the number one ranked team in the world to the sword in a devastating 10-wicket victory. It was a record breaking stand of 170 for the England openers to top the 168 made by South Africa's Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw in their Super 12 game against Bangladesh last month.

In the process they denied India the chance to face Pakistan in what would have been one of the most watched cricket matches of all time. However, it will still be a fitting final as England take on the third ranked team in T20 cricket.

It is not the first time that these two sides have met in a World Cup final, with the 50 over final between the pair taking place at the MCG in 1992, with Pakistan emerging victorious on that occasion.

Following Thursday's win, England captain Buttler described their semi-final win as 'close to perfect', saying: "It certainly feels like it's as close to perfect as we can get, especially against such quality opposition.

"It's important for us to enjoy this and this performance so we will reflect on that and enjoy it, but there is one last dance to go."
