Sky Brown kicks off her Olympics campaign at Paris 2024 as she competes in the women’s park skateboarding tomorrow.
The teenager won a bronze medal in Tokyo, making her Team GB’s youngest ever medallist, and she now looks to make a return to the podium despite a recent injury scare.
Brown revealed that she suffered a dislocated shoulder the day before she travelled to Paris, admitting it was “really scary” as she feared for her participation at the Olympics.
The 16-year-old is set to have surgery when she returns home after the Games, but for now will rely on heavy strapping to minimise the pain.
Sky Brown’s start time
Sky Brown will compete in the women’s park skateboarding heats, which are scheduled to start at 11:30am BST on Tuesday, August 6. Brown is set to go in heat four.
She will hope to book her place in the final, which will take place at 4:30pm later in the day.
