When is Peaky Blinders film out? BBC drama set to hit the big screen after final episode

By order of the Peaky Blinders or not, the BBC show is set to air it’s final episode on Sunday night after a triumphant return to screens for its sixth series.

After a few years without a Tommy Shelby fix, fans of the Birmingham shot show have lapped up every second of drama that the new series has brought. And, after the penultimate episode was described as ‘classic Peaky,’ by both fans and director Anthony Byrne, all eyes will be on BBC1 at 9pm to see how the sixth and final episode of Peaky Blinders' last series will play out.

Byrne has hinted that revenge is very much the theme for the last instalment, whether that be Tommy going after the Black Cat or Michael seeking revenge on Tommy for the death of his mother.

While the news that there will be no more series of Peaky Blinders on the BBC is a bitter pill for many viewers to swallow, it has been somewhat remedied by the fact there is a movie in the works.

And there is also the fact that Peaky Blinders final episode will be so long that it’s pushing the 10 o’clock news back by 20 minutes.

When is the Peaky Blinders film out?

According to various sources, the film is currently set to start production in 2023. Speaking to Metro this week, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight said: ""I know exactly what's going to happen, I know what the story is and I'm writing at the moment.

"It's a very specific story, that's based on a true story from the Second World War and will be told in the Peaky way."
