Fortnite has made itself home to many Spider-Men across the years but there's one specific Spider-Man that everyone wants in-game and that's Miles Morales.
Thanks to a series of Fortnite leakers we know that more Spider-Man content is on the way to the game via a Fortnite x Spider-Verse collaboration. The star of the show is a Fortnite Miles Morales skin which finally brings the beloved protagonist of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to the game after the film's other star, Spider-Gwen, debuted in the Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 Battle Pass.
Since it's a crossover with the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the Fortnite Miles Morales skin won't be alone, as Miguel O'Hara's Spider-Man 2099 is set to join him with a skin of his own. Even though the full list of leaked items haven't appeared in--game yet, Epic is laying the groundwork with Fortnite Web Battles which offers a few Spider-Man 2099 and Miles Morales Fortnite goodies.
When is Miles Morales coming to Fortnite?
There's no confirmed release date for the Miles Morales Fortnite Skin and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse crossover to appear in-game, however there's a few dates we can speculate upon.
The first date – and the one we think makes most sense – for the Fortnite Miles Morales skin release date is Tuesday, May 30. We think this as Fortnite updates typically release on a Tuesday and May 30 is the final Tuesday before Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrives in cinemas on Friday, June 2. Considering that the arrival of the Fortnite Miles Morales skin is supposed to coincide with the Spider-Man Web Shooters Mythic item returning to the game we'd expect the crossover to arrive with an update on a Tuesday.
However, it could be even sooner. Another probable date would be Tuesday, May 23 which not only fits the Tuesday update theory above, but it also marks the end of both the aforementioned Fortnite Web Battles event and the Fortnite x Star Wars event Find the Force. The Find the Force event introduced a bunch of Mythic items such as the lightsabers and the DC-15 Blaster so adding another with the Web Shooters is likely to overcomplicate the item pool, which makes sense to hold out until the Star Wars event is finished.
Although, as we saw with the Fortnite Goku Black skin – which was speculated to release on Goku Day (May 9) and released out of the blue four days later – it can be hard to predict when Fortnite will add new skins into the game.
How to get Miles Morales in Fortnite
Miles Morales will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop once he releases. The skin has been datamined alongside a group of Miles Morales themed cosmetics including the following:
Spider-Man (Earth 1610) Skin (with alternate maskless style)
Spider-Ham Mallet Pickaxe
Spider-Verse Portal Back Bling
Put 'er There Emote
The following Spider-Man 2099 themed items are also set to be joining Fortnite:
- Spider-Man 2099 Skin
- Web Cape Back Bling
There's also a leaked Loading Screen available, although it's unknown which skin this is likely to be bundled with.
Considering nothing is officially in-game yet and that some items are available as part of the ongoing Fortnite Web Battles event we're not sure what the upcoming Fortnite Miles Morales bundle will look like – and by extension, how much it will cost.
Based on the price of previous Fortnite Skin bundles we'd expect the Fortnite Miles Morales skin bundle to be anywhere from 1,800 to 2,200 V-Bucks, with the Spider-Man 2099 bundle likely being slightly cheaper due to the lack of an alternate style. The same goes for the individual skins, which we would speculate to be around the 1,500 to 1,800 V-Bucks range.
