Josh Kerr and Jakob Ingebrigtsen battle for gold in the men’s 1500m final in what is one of the most eagerly-anticipated races of the Olympics.
The pair were drawn in the same semi-final and both safely booked their place in the main event, with Ingebrigtsen taking victory as both eased off towards the finish line.
There will be no such repeat at the Stade de France on Tuesday night as Kerr, who won bronze in Tokyo but gold at the World Championships last year, looks to take down the reigning Olympic champion in Ingebrigtsen.
It is a rivalry that has grown and grown in recent months and years, building towards this moment in Paris.
Men’s 1500m final start time
