Michael Conlan will be looking to finally get his hands on a world title when he takes on Luis Alberto Lopez on Saturday.
It is Conlan’s second chance to become a world champion after his dramatic stoppage defeat to Leigh Wood last year. The Olympic medalist has since bounced back with two wins in Belfast and is now set to compete for the IBF Featherweight belt in the SSE Arena.
Lopez won the belt with a decision win over Josh Warrington in December and is looking to make his first defence However, Conlan will hope to finally get his crowning moment in front of his home crowd.

Lopez vs Conlan is taking place at the SSE Arena in Dublin on Saturday, May 27. The undercard is set to start at 4pm and the main event ring walks are scheduled to start at 9pm.

The fight will be shown live on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 6.30pm until 11.30pm. The event is taking place at an earlier time to avoid clashes with Lawrence Okolie vs Chris Billam-Smith and Mauricio Lara vs Leigh Wood 2, with all three main events taking place on the same day.
