Leeds United have entered the World Cup break and supporters will have to wait until their next Premier League outing. The Whites were showing form before the break, seeing off Liverpool and Bournemouth to bolster their points tally but they were unable to enter the lay-off on a high.
Despite leading three times, the Whites fell to an agonising 4-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur and they’ll spend the next six and a half weeks mulling over that defeat. As a result, Leeds sit in 15th , just two points above the Premier League drop zone, and they’ll know they need to find consistency when they return to action.
Here’s all you need to know about the Whites' return to action.

When is Leeds United’s next Premier League fixture?
Leeds fans will have to wait longer than most to see their side in action once more. Not only have the Whites been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, meaning they miss out on the chance to play a competitive game before Christmas, but their fixture against Manchester City has been pushed back for broadcasting reasons.
Leeds were due to welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to Elland on Boxing Day (December 26), but the clash will now take place on Wednesday, December 28, with the match set to kick-off at 8pm.
How can I watch Leeds United v Man City?
The game will be shown live on Amazon Prime. The streaming service will be showing every gameweek 17 fixture in the days after Christmas and Leeds’ home clash with the champions will be the final game of the round.
What are the Leeds United v Man City talking points?
Well, all eyes will be on Kalvin Phillips as the midfielder returns to Elland Road for the first time since leaving in the summer. The midfielder hasn’t seen many minutes in a City shirt this season, but he will be fresh from competing for England in Qatar and eager to be involved against his boyhood club.
Erling Haaland may pick up attention, too, as he makes his first appearance against Leeds, the club he supported as a youngster following his father’s exploits in white. Haaland was also born in Leeds.
Do Leeds United play before then?
The Whites have organised a friendly with Spanish club Real Sociedad to ease themselves back into action. They’ll take on the La Liga side, who are competing in the Europa League, at Elland Road on Friday, December 16.
