When is Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury rematch?

A rematch between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury is reportedly being planned for the summer.

The long-time rivals finally faced off in the ring last month, with Fury winning by split decision after the bout went the full eight rounds in Saudi Arabia. Both had a point deducted during the fight, while Fury was knocked down in the eighth but still did enough on the cards.

That was the first defeat of Paul’s career, in his first fight against a professional boxer, but he has the option to activate a rematch clause to get another shot at Fury.

ESPN report that a July date is being considered for that second fight, with Paul confirming after his defeat in Diriyah that he intended to take the rematch as he claimed he had suffered problems in the build-up to the bout.

“We can run it back,” Paul said. “I think we deserve that rematch.

“I felt flat - I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm. This wasn’t my best performance, but that’s no excuse.”

Fury will enter the WBC’s official cruiserweight rankings after his victory, one that extended his professional record to 9-0 even if there any plenty of questions over the quality of opponents he has fought.

The 23-year-old described the win as feeling like a “world title fight” to him, and he has confirmed he is ready to do it all over again.

“A rematch is something that I would do, it is something that I believe in,” Fury told Good Morning Britain.

“We only did eight rounds. I’m ready to go out there and do a re-match, I owe that to myself. I believe in the rematch I’ll definitely stop him.

“I’ve never been the eight rounds before so you’re just a bit wary about what’s in your tank and how the fight will go. But now I’ve been in the ring with him once I know what to expect.”
