For millions of Brits, Christmas just wouldn't be the same without some EastEnders drama and this year there is plenty to lap up, including a dramatic exit for Mick Carter.
Every year, while we tuck into nibbles in front of the TV, there is always loads of shows to get stuck into and one place, where there is always guaranteed action is Albert Square.
BBC soap Eastenders has given us plenty of memorable Christmas storylines over the years. There is quite possibly the most famous of all when Den handed Angie divorce papers, while more recently Christmas Day 2017 saw the Branning sisters plunge off the Queen Vic roof onto the street below.
And then in 2019 there was the huge kidnap plot cantered on Keanu, with usually mild mannered fruit and veg man Martin Fowler roped into kill him, before backing out as a twist saw a drunk Linda Carter drawn into things.

Linda is right at the heart of the action again this year, with the festive episodes focusing to focus on Mick Carter's exit, following Danny Dyer's departure from EastEnders. He said 'I do' to Janine in Friday's episode, but their wedded bliss was shortlived and her lies over Linda's 'drink driving' finally exposed, before Mick was feared dead at sea after a dramatic conclusion.
