When is DNA Journey on TV and what channel is it on?

ITV programme DNA Journey is currently airing the second part of a brand new series on our screens. The first part aired in Spring and saw three pairs head on a journey to discover their family history including The Chase stars Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace, ice skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and actresses Dame Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska.

The second part of the ITV series, which has four episodes, is airing this Autumn and has already seen one celebrity duo - comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan - find out more about their ancestors. The upcoming episodes will feature Gavin and Stacey stars Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb, comedians Joel Dommett and Tom Allen and presenters Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway.

With the use of cutting edge DNA technology and genealogy, the celebrity pairs will uncover their family history and meet living relatives they never knew existed. The programme has previously seen the likes of Ant and Dec, Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp, Amanda Holden and Alan Carr and Martin and Roman Kemp take part.

But when are the new episodes being aired and where can you watch them? Here are all the details:

When is DNA Journey on TV and what channel is it on?

The new episodes of DNA Journey are currently airing on Thursday nights on ITV and ITV Hub. The first instalment featured comedians and best mates Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan and aired on September 29 - you can catch up on this episode on the ITV Hub.

The series continues on Thursday, October 6 from 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub with presenters Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway. The synopsis reads: "From Bristol to London and Jamaica, they cover the globe and find out that some of their own colourful and extraordinary ancestors would definitely make an eye-opening item of one of their morning shows."

ITV have already teased that Kate discovers she is related to Paddington Bear during the episode. The Good Morning Britain presenter will head to London to meet her cousin Karen, who grew up with Paddington and reveals that her dad was Michael Bond, the creator of Paddington Bear.
