We are now less than 48 hours away from the start of the Greatest Show on Turf: the 2022 Cheltenham Festival.
Fans will be back at Prestbury Park after the 2021 Festival was forced behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, with organisers predicting the biggest crowd in the history of the event.
Across four days, the best equine and human talent in the sport will go toe-to-toe, the likes of Honeysuckle, Shishkin and last year’s Gold Cup hero Minella Indo among the biggest stars on show.
After the Irish domination of last year, which saw the raiders win 23 of the Festival’s 28 races, all eyes will be on the British response as home trainers look to hit back.

When is the 2022 Cheltenham Festival?
The 2022 Cheltenham Festival runs from Tuesday 15 - Friday 18, March 2022.
There are seven races each day, with the first race at 1:30pm and the last race at 5:30pm.

Ticket prices start from £40 and are available at numerous tiers which grant access to different enclosures and areas of the racecourse.
Non-hospitality tickets for Thursday and Friday are now sold out.

Cheltenham Festival 2022 weather forecast
The current Met Office forecast is for a dry but cloudy day on Tuesday, with similar weather on Wednesday but with the possibility of some rain through the afternoon.
Thursday and Friday, however, are set fair, with clear skies and sunshine on the current forecast.
