When is Champions League quarter-final draw after Chelsea beat Borussia Dortmund in classic tie

Chelsea successfully managed to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit, beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals. After an entertaining opening 30 minutes without a goal but plenty of chances, in typical Chelsea style, Raheem Sterling threw the tie wide open.

Kai Havertz's second half penalty, which was initially missed before a reprieve was given due to encroachment from Dortmund, eventually put the home side ahead on aggregate and secured their passage into the last eight for the third year in a row.

It was a big win for Graham Potter, who came into this week under immense pressure for a poor run of results but has helped to ease that with wins against Leeds and now Dortmund.

Now, after a typically entertaining night under the lights at Stamford Bridge in Europe, the Blues will be delighted as they wait for the draw for the next round. Here, football.london gets all the details in one place.

When is the quarter-final draw?

The draw is set to take place two days after the last of the round-of-16 ties has been completed. That is, Friday, March 17 at the UEFA headquarters in Switzerland.

The draw is scheduled to start at 11am.

What about the semi-final draw?

The semi-final draw will follow the quarter-final draw, meaning that all sides will be able to plot their route to the final. It will also have the sides of the draw finalised too, meaning that clubs will know who is due to be treated as the home side for the final in Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

Which clubs will be in the draw?

After Chelsea's win they, and Benfica, are the only teams confirmed in the quarter-final at present. The remaining games are:

Tottenham/AC Milan

Manchester City/RB Leipzig

Real Madrid/Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain/Bayern Munich

Porto/Inter Milan

Napoli/Eintracht Frankfurt
