Casualty 2025 is shaping up to be a good year for Holby fans with the first new boxset Public Property putting senior doctor Dylan Keogh (William Beck), front and centre. Plus the introduction of high-profile new characters and the return of some familiar faces.

Brace, Brace, Brace — Saturday 22 February 2025, 8.25pm, BBC1 and BBC iPlayer

A plane crashes at Holby, and with Dylan Keogh on forced leave and unavailable to lead the team, Stevie Nash is placed in charge of the ED. Siobhan McKenzie is stunned when her husband, firefighter Rich Walker, is brought in from the site of the disaster. And she's not the only one! Elsewhere, Faith Cadogan catches 'friend' Astrid Watson trying to steal drugs from the supply cupboard using her pass, Tariq Hussein's father, Kareem, discharges himself from the hospital, and paramedic boss Jan Jenning delivers good and bad news to Jacob Masters...

Unearthed — Saturday 01 March 2025, 8.30pm, BBC1 and BBC iPlayer

Vulnerable advanced clinical practitioner Faith Cadogan is on the verge of relapsing. Can she resist temptation? It's revealed whether or not consultant Stevie Nash has blown her chances of becoming Holby ED's newest clinical lead, nurse Jodie Whyte once again seeks comfort in all the wrong places, and Robert Bathurst makes his Casualty debut as surgeon Russell Whitelaw!

Casualty 2025 — January

Off Duty — Saturday 28 December 2024, 9.15pm, BBC1 and BBC iPlayer

Okay, technically Off Duty is not a 2025 episode, but as the opener of the latest 11-part boxset Public Property came within spitting distance of the New Year, we’ve decided to include it here for coherency.

The first half catches up with professional pressures and personal conflicts at the ED - including hostilities between Siobhan McKenzie and Stevie Nash over the clinical lead position. The second part involves the powerful juxtaposition of Jan giving trainee paramedic Indie (show newcomer Naomi Wakszlak) a reality check, while an off duty Dylan Keogh and Jodie Whyte are caught up in a tragic incident at a restaurant.

With hard-to-watch frontline emergency medicine and something to say about the expectations placed on medics at its core, this is Casualty at its finest and a great start to a new chapter in the show’s history.

Dylan Keogh kicks off 2025’s first official tangled web of lies when he insists that Jodie Whyte had only one glass of wine before helping him with an off-duty emergency C-section when speaking to Siobhan McKenzie and Stevie Nash. The ‘why’ is somewhat murky but well-meaning. The problem now is, Jodie's left with an unpleasant dilemma when it comes to her police statement. Elsewhere, Faith Cadogan’s home life takes a genuinely shocking turn after a sinister patient storyline gives her pause for thought…

This episode also introduces Seth Somers as new surgeon Sean Redmond and Ravin J. Ganatra as Kareem Hussein, Tariq’s father and Rash Masum’s uncle.

Trainee paramedic Indie Jankowsky faces the ultimate horror on her first shift with the Holby ED crew. Meanwhile, Faith Cadogan is worried that she will lose all that she loves, as her personal life and her inner demons collide. Elsewhere, will impulsive Jodie Whyte contemplate which boundaries she should and should not cross?

Guest stars: Immanuel Yeboah, Jensen Clayden, Laura Bayston, James Lawrence, Polly Lister and Paul Blair. Gina Isaac returns as a former patient and acquaintance of Faith Cadogan, Astrid Watson. Gina first played Astrid in 2024 episode Shame the Devil.

Dylan Keogh is under pressure when his actions are scrutinised. Elsewhere, Jacob Masters tries to set a good example while under enormous personal and professional pressure. While Rash Masum is reluctantly caught in the middle of a blood feud.

Consultant Stevie Nash faces a terrible choice following a climbing accident and must choose between her head and her heart after her ex-flame, fireman Rich Walker, makes a shocking revelation that leaves the doctor torn between her professional duties and personal feelings.

Elsewhere, nurse Jodie Whyte is shocked to see Aaron Bayliss's article in the local newspaper - will he reveal their fling? Junior doctor Nicole Piper is overcome with worry about a close friend's health. And, Indie Jankowski is caught out in a lie...

Junior doctor Nicole Piper draws a line in the sand with Ngozi Okoye when she makes it clear that their relationship won't work unless she's given the space she needs. Later, when Nicole hits crisis point, will Ngozi be there for her?

Trainee paramedic Indie Jankowski is left terrified when she faces homelessness after she's unable to pay the rent. Later, Indie's bad day gets worse when she makes a career-ending mistake.

Senior consultant Dylan Keogh receives life-changing news, but the timing is terrible as he's taken in for police questioning about the death of Thea Bayliss.

And Advanced Senior Practitioner Faith Cadogan feels guilty when a familiar face ends up back in Holby ED...

Picking up directly from last Saturday’s arresting development, tonight Dylan is hauled into Holby Police Station in handcuffs and given a grilling over multiple patient deaths, his sobriety, and Thea Bayliss’s catastrophic car crash injuries. Incandescent with indignation, Dylan (never change!) doesn’t exactly help himself and ends up being held for 24 hours. Meanwhile, a lot is happening outside the clink. [Deep breath] Sophia books a termination, Nicole is sectioned, Rich and Siobhan’s son hits on Stevie (no, not a typo!) and drama-magnet Jodie dines on some just desserts in deliciously dramatic scenes - and that’s only the half of it!

Elsewhere, Stevie Nash makes peace with her head and her heart, but what does that mean for the consultant's future in Holby? And Rash Masum tries to keep family ties from fraying permanently, but no good deed goes unpunished...

In flashback to her days as a student midwife, Jodie Whyte grapples with trauma in her professional and personal life, while navigating heartache, and seeking closure in the wrong places.

Here, Jodie looks back on her days as a student midwife five years previously, when her mother, Rachel, chose to stop her chemotherapy treatment. She receives word that her mother's health has deteriorated just as she is preparing to deliver a baby, and is faced with an impossible choice between her family and the needs of her patient...
