When is Cameron Norrie playing at Wimbledon? Time and how to watch Novak Djokovic semi-final today

For the first time since 2016, there is a British man in the Wimbledon singles semi-finals.

Six years ago it was Andy Murray, getting the better of Tomas Berdych before beating Milos Raonic two days later in the final to win his second Wimbledon title.

Now it’s Cameron Norrie taking centre stage and carrying the nation’s hopes. Whereas Murray arrived at SW19 every year to be met with a wave of expectation, Norrie had been largely able to stay under the radar.

Emma Raducanu and Murray took much of the pre-tournament attention and while Norrie is the British number one and ninth seed, he had never previously made it past the third round of a Grand Slam.

That’s all changed now though and he is into the last four after battling past David Goffin in the quarter-finals, where he faces what he’s described as “one of the toughest tasks in tennis” in Novak Djokovic. The six-time Wimbledon champion has not lost at the tournament for five years, though he was given a scare last time out as he came from two-sets down to beat Jannik Sinner.

Norrie vs Djokovic date and start time

The pair will take to Centre Court on Friday, July 8, 2022.

The order of play for the men’s semi-finals will be confirmed on Thursday afternoon.

Norrie vs Djokovic head-to-head (h2h) results

The pair have played just once before, at the ATP World Tour Finals in November.

It was a routine win for Djokovic that day, cruising to a 6-2 6-1 victory over Norrie.

Norrie vs Djokovic prediction

It’s been a brilliant run to the last four from Norrie but he now faces an assignment that is as difficult as they come - beating Djokovic at Wimbledon.

The British number one is a much better player than he showed when the two met at the end of last year, and will have a partisan Centre Court crowd behind him.

At times this tournament Djokovic has looked vulnerable for one set, even two against Sinner, but winning three against the top seed looks a step too far for Norrie.
