When is Brotherhood season 2 out on Netflix?
The second season of Brotherhood is set to debut this week on Netflix, with the latest series of the gritty Brazilian drama expected to drop on Wednesday May 11. The new season will pick up where the first series left off, amid the underworld of Sao Paulo in the mid-90s.
In the first series, lawyer Cristina - played by Naruna Costa - found herself in a dilemma after learning that her brother Edson (Seu Jorge) was leading a rising criminal gang, known as Irmandade or ‘Brotherhood’, in prison.
She is subsequently pressured by the police to become an informant and infiltrate the Brotherhood herself, and in doing so is forced to question her own ethics and her understanding of justice itself.
Who’s in the cast of Brotherhood?
Naruna Costa will reprise her role as lead character Cristina for the second season of Brotherhood, with Seu Jorge - perhaps best known to international audiences for his role in the critically-acclaimed 2002 movie City of God - also returning as Edson.
Other returning cast members include Hermila Guedes as Darlene, Lee Taylor as Ivan and Wesley Guimarães as Marcel.
