When is Bridgerton season three coming out?

The first two seasons of Bridgerton on Netflix have been a huge hit, and fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the third season.

The show is a Regency-era drama following the Bridgerton family, an upper-class family in London, with each season so far focussing on a different sibling trying to navigate high society and find a match. The first season was a lockdown sensation releasing in December 2020, followed by an equally successful second season in March 2022.

A prequel season has been released on Netflix today (Thursday, May 4), following the story of Queen Charlotte, a fan favourite from the main series. While this will keep fans occupied, many are still excited for the release of season three.

When is Bridgerton season three coming out?

Unfortunately, Netflix hasn't yet confirmed when season three will be released, but we do know that the filming for season three has been completed. This means season three will likely be released towards the end of 2023, or potentially at the beginning of 2024.

What do we know so far about Bridgerton season three?

Season three will be the first time the TV show diverges from the Julia Quinn novels that the series is based on. So far, season one has followed the events of the first book, and season two followed the events of the second book.

The third book in the series 'An Offer From A Gentleman' follows Benedict Bridgerton, the second eldest brother, played by Luke Thompson in the show. But, season three of the show will follow the events of the fourth book, which is about Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nichola Coughlan).

Most of the main cast are set to return for season three, although Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton in season one and two, will not return to the cast. Regé-Jean Page, who played the Duke, will also not be returning, although he didn't make an appearance in season two.
