When is Boomtown and how to get tickets to 2024 festival?

The Boomtown Festival will mark its 15th anniversary in 2024 and organisers are already planning the biggest and best show yet.

The event — known as the sunshine festival — has just wrapped up its 2023 schedule in August, but already plans are afoot for the 2024 event and they sound incredible.

The Boomtown Rats and Belinda Carlisle have already been announced as the main headline acts at the popular music festival in Upton-upon-Severn for next year.

Organisers say they are hoping for the best festival yet in 2024 to help them mark 15 years of fun at the site and have entitled the festival the “Revolution of Imagination”.

Steve High, of the Sunshine Music Festival, said: “We are really happy to have Boomtown Rats and Belinda Carlisle confirmed for next year.

“We do plan to announce another major headliner at Christmas this year, which we are very excited for.”

This year’s Sunshine Music Festival saw Ronan Keating, Marc Almond, and 10CC headline, who performed after The Proclaimers pulled out near to the event.

There were numerous stages filled with both big names and local bands and performers, and there was even the UK’s “largest inflatable land” for youngsters and adults alike to enjoy, as well as a giant big top circus.

But how can you get involved in the 2024 event?

When and where is Boomtown 2024?

The big event for 2024 will not kick off until the summer, and organisers say the event dates have been confirmed as August 7 to 11, 2024.

Boomtown will take place in the same place as always — on a dairy farm, in the Matterley Estate in the South Downs national park, near Winchester.

How many tickets are sold for Boomtown?

The venue has a capacity of 66,000 and tickets normally sell out very quickly.

Boomtown is a family festival, so large groups are common at the event, however children must be accompanied by adults aged 30 or over.

When will tickets go on sale and how much are they?

Tickets are available now from the website.

Early bird tickets have sold out, but tickets for phase three, priced around £300, are available.

There are also £280 eco tickets, with free Wednesday upgrade, for those who travel to the venue by public transport.

Tickets can be upgraded to include camping from the Wednesday night for those who want to set up earlier. These are on sale for £340 and will go up to £350.

Organisers say they have tried to make the event affordable by offering instalment plans, which allow people to pay over the course of the year.
