Alan Stubbs says former teammate Neil Lennon could do no wrong in the eyes of Martin O'Neill when the latter was Celtic manager in the early 2000s.
Stubbs, who played at Parkhead between 1996 and 2001, only spent a year working under O'Neill, but did see the Irishman fight hard to bring in Lennon just a few months into the 2000/01 campaign.
Lennon and O'Neill had previously worked together at Leicester City, and would enjoy a string of successes in Glasgow's east end – including three league championships, three Scottish Cups, a Scottish League Cup, and reaching the UEFA Cup final in 2003.
Speaking on the BBC's Sacked in the Morning podcast, Stubbs said: "Neil was Martin's lovechild. O'Neill loved Lenny and Lenny could get away with everything."

Stubbs added: "Lenny used to always do a great impression of Martin. When we were out he'd get a pair of glasses, slide the glasses down his nose and you would actually think it was Martin talking.
"There were a couple of times Martin walked in the room and Lenny's actually been doing it. He'd just give Lenny the look without saying anything."
