England have qualified for the World Cup Round of 16 stage. The Three Lions were expected to comfortably get out of Group B, and despite a few bumps along the way - including a 0-0 draw with the USA last Friday - they've managed to do exactly that.
Gareth Southgate's side started the tournament with incredible prowess as they eased past a tricky Iran side 6-2 in Doha. They surprisingly followed that performance with a really poor and frantic draw with the USA, where they were admittedly second best on the day.
The result gave them a few days to regroup, though, and a professional performance against Wales meant that they secured qualification to the next round as Group B winners, setting up a tie with Senegal in the process.

Senegal edged South American outfit Ecuador in their final Group A clash on Tuesday, with goals from Watford's Ismaila Sarr and Chelsea's Kalidou Koulibaly enough to secure a 2-1 win. They finished second behind an impressive Netherlands side.
As a result, they will now play England on Sunday, December 4, at the Al Bayt Stadium. The Three Lions have managed to avoid a difficult test against the Netherlands in the knockout stages as they now focus on preparing for the tie against Senegal following the match against Wales.
Goals from Marcus Rashford (2) and Phil Foden, who both came into the starting lineup to replace Mason Mount and Bukayo Saka, have England cruising to finish top of Group B.
