The transfer window is an exciting time for Premier League clubs. It was Arsenal who were the busiest side in the English top-flight last time out, splashing over £140million on six first-team players, with the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale all joining the Mikel Arteta revolution. Chelsea also had an interesting window, spending a club-record £97.5million on Belgian international Romelu Lukaku.
Tottenham Hotspur's window was slightly quieter in terms of incomings but the Lillywhites were able to hold onto centre-forward Harry Kane, who was heavily linked with a move to reigning champions Manchester City for the majority of the summer. Now, the north Londoners have veteran coach Antonio Conte at the helm - meaning they may be a more exciting project for some of Europe's top talent.

The 2021/22 campaign is far from over but the recent international break has resulted in plenty of transfer rumours nonetheless. The Gunners will be searching for at least one top-class striker after allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave in January whilst both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are into the final four months of their respective contracts at the Emirates Stadium. Chelsea's summer window is still shrouded in mystery following sanctions imposed on owner Roman Abramovich.
Below, football.london takes a look at the details for this summer's transfer window and when it is expected to open and shut.
When does the transfer market open and close?
The transfer market will reopen on Friday, June 10 - though the majority of international deals typically do not go through until the beginning of July in line with the official start of the new football calendar, and player contracts usually running until June 30 each year.
The window will then close on Thursday, September 1, with 11pm the usual deadline for Premier League clubs.
