A quieter summer transfer window will soon close.
While Premier League clubs have splashed out many millions of pounds this summer, few would doubt they have been a touch more restrained in comparison to previous years.
All that could change in the coming days as the window draws to a close.
A clutch of big name players continue to be tipped for moves and the fast-approaching deadline will no doubt focus minds in the market.
Here’s everything you need to know.
When does the summer transfer window close?
The transfer window is both England and Scotland will close at 11pm BST on Friday August 30, 2024. The window in Spain closes at the same time.
Clubs will still be able to complete business after the deadline passes if they submit a deal sheet to the Premier League before the window closes.
The deadline varies across Europe. Germany’s shuts at 5pm BST, Italy’s at 7pm and France’s at 10pm.
Saudi Arabian clubs will be able to buy players until Sunday 6 October, 2024.
When does the January transfer window open?
The English transfer window opens again on Wednesday 1 January and runs until Monday 3 February, 2025.
