Strictly Come Dancing will samba back onto our screens in just over a month’s time. The BBC One show is expected to record its first episode on Wednesday September 7, which will air the following Saturday September 10.
Four new professional dancers are joining the team alongside some of the old favourites, and the celebrity line-up is slowly being revealed. So far there are two former Coronation Street stars confirmed as contestants.
This will be Strictly’s 20th year, with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly expected to front the programme as usual. Here’s who you can expect under the glitter ball this year.
BBC Radio 2 presenter Richie Anderson is the third celebrity announced to be taking part, while Scots broadcaster and journalist Kaye Adams was the fourth.

Who is on Strictly Come Dancing 2022?
BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing has announced two contestants so far, and they are both former Coronation Street stars! First up is Will Mellor, the former Hollyoaks star who went on to play drug lord Harvey Gaskell on Corrie.
Will, 46, is also known for his starring role on Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps. Announcing the news on Thursday he said: “I'm honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year!
“Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about. This is also my Mum's favourite show and she’s had a really tough few years so I’m doing this for her as well. Bring it on!”
The second star to be confirmed by the BBC was Kym Marsh. Kym, 46, rose to fame as member of Hear’Say before becoming a Corrie star playing the role of Michelle Connor. She now presents BBC One’s Morning Live.
She said in a statement: “I’ve considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I’m so delighted that this year they have! I’m a huge fan of the show and can’t believe I’m going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it’s unreal!”
