When is the UK’s next Amazon Prime Day in 2023?: Best early deals for the Amazon Big Deal Days

If you’re wondering when Amazon Prime Day is taking place this year, we’ve got some good news and some bad news.

First, the bad: the official sale took place over 11 - 12 July. And the good? Amazon has confirmed that there will be a second Prime Day-like sale this month.

What are the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days?

Like Prime Day, the October sale will reward Prime members with exclusive deals. It’s second time lucky for anyone who missed out on deals in July’s main event, giving a chance to crack through your Christmas shopping list before the discounts of Black Friday come into play.

The exclusive sale will run in 19 countries, including the UK. It promises to showcase some of Amazon’s best deals of the season.

If it’s anything like Amazon Prime Day 2023, bargain hunters are in for a treat. The flagship sale saw some stupendous roll-backs, from discounts on booze and Nintendo Switch bundles to hundreds wiped off the RRPs of splashy spends, like TVs, mattresses and vacuum cleaners.

When will the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale take place?

We don’t officially know the dates, but October has been confirmed as the month to know.

Do you need an Amazon Prime Account to access the deals?

We do know that as this sale is for Prime account holders only, you will need to have signed up for Amazon Prime membership before it all kicks off.

It costs £8.99 per month, or you can pay £95 annually. Meanwhile, Amazon Student membership fees are £4.49 per month, or £47.49 per year if you pay a lump sum. For your money, you’ll have access to incredible deals as well as services and a world of entertainment and content. There’s a 30-day free trial available too so you can try before you commit.

What types of deals could we see?

We’re putting our money on the return of Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day. Like their name, Lightning Deals are limited-time sales for a short period. Once the product runs out, it won’t be coming back - at least, not at such low prices. Deals of the Day last the whole day unless stock runs dry first.

How to keep up with the best deals

Just like the flagship Amazon Prime Day sale in July, we will be running a live blog detailing unmissable products at can’t-ignore low prices. Bookmark ES Best and check back over the sales period if you want a slice of the action.

If you can’t wait until October, there are plenty of excellent deals just begging to jump into your online basket right now.
