Yesterday, Activision released Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on PlayStation 4.
The release was a “surprise” in that it was never officially announced beforehand. In reality, rumors and leaks have made the game an open secret for ages now.
Unfortunately for Xbox One and PC players currently social distancing as the whole of humanity tries to “flatten the curve” amid the coronavirus outbreak, the game won’t launch on those platforms for weeks.
PS4 players can enjoy the game’s timed exclusivity until April 30th when it will launch digitally on the Xbox One store and Battle.net.
Modern Warfare 2 Remastered costs $19.99 and boasts some serious improvements on PC in particular. These include “up to 4K resolution and HDR support on console; and uncapped framerate as well as ultrawide monitor support on PC.”
Too bad gamers will have to wait to play in these dark and frightening times. Any distraction is appreciated these days. At least those who pre-purchase the game on Xbox One and PC will get immediate access to the Modern Warfare/Warzone perks. That’s something.
