British Summer Time will come to an end this weekend.
This time of year ushers in colder nights and shorter evenings as the last of the summer sun slowly slips away. In an attempt to make the most of the daylight, bi-annual clock changes were introduced to make the changing of seasons more bearable.
British Summer Time (BST) pushes the clocks forward one hour in March but that is set to come to an end this weekend. At 2am on Sunday, the clocks will roll back one hour, bringing with it brighter mornings, for a short period at least.

A clever way to remember which change is happening throughout the year is with the phrase "spring forward, fall back." The majority of devices will update automatically but you should still make sure to update analogue clocks or appliances such as microwaves and ovens.
Apple iPhones, iPad and Macs update automatically, but it is advised you check you have ‘set automatically’ turned on in your ‘date and time’ settings.
If you have an Android phone, it is also advised that you check you have 'automatic updates' set to your phone.
