When did the Philadelphia Eagles last play in a Super Bowl?

The Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, defeating the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC championship game. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will face the winner of the AFC title game between the Chiefs and the Bills.

Philadelphia will make its second Super Bowl appearance in three years. The team last reached the world championship after coach Nick Sirianni’s second season in 2022, when it faced Kansas City and lost a 38-35 thriller in Super Bowl 57.

Prior to that, the Eagles played in the Super Bowl in 2017, winning the first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
