This video game adaptation was always expected to be a hit once it was announced that Keanu Reeves would be appearing as the villainous Shadow the Hedgehog, who is basically the dark and brooding version of our favorite blue blur voiced by Ben Schwartz. If you've played the games, you know this is a big deal; Shadow's arrival usually means things are about to get serious.

But if you want to wait for the movie to hit streaming video-on-demand (SVOD) streaming services, well ... that's a bit tricky. The good news is we know that this movie will eventually speed its way onto Paramount Plus. That's pretty much a given since Paramount handles the franchise and both previous "Sonic" flicks ended up there. The bad news is we still don't know the exact date "Sonic 3" will be released on Paramount Plus.
'Sonic 3' Paramount Plus release date speculation
While we don't know when "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" will arrive on Paramount Plus, we can make an educated guess. But based on Paramount's typical release patterns, you might be waiting a while. "Sonic 2" switched things up a bit. Instead of the usual quick digital release, Paramount held onto it longer and dropped it on PVOD and Paramount Plus on the same day. But "Sonic 3" clearly hasn't gone that route.
