When Arnaut Danjuma can make his Tottenham debut as loan confirmed ahead of Preston FA Cup tie

Arnaut Danjuma is a Tottenham player after coming close to securing a move to fellow Premier League side Everton. It is understood that the Dutch winger had completed his medical ahead of a move to Goodison Park before an 11th-hour offer from Spurs came in.

The player, who has experience in England with Bournemouth, had done his media work in Merseyside for Everton before a change of mind upon the interest of Tottenham and has now been confirmed on a loan deal until the end of the season. Villarreal have also confirmed that there is an option to buy at the end of the season too.

With Son Heung-Min struggling this season, Dejan Kulusevski coming back from an injury and Bryan Gil still inexperienced, Antonio Conte was desperate to bring in a new forward this month and has finally got his man. Danjuma was part of Unai Emery's Champions League semi-final squad in Spain last year, scoring six goals.

He also got 10 in the league and will be hoping to give some assistance to Kane during his time at Spurs. The Englishman has 16 goals this season - drawing level with club all-time record scorer Jimmy Greaves with his strike against Fulham on Monday - whereas nobody else has more than four.

Danjuma comes in with six goals in all competitions in 17 matches this season. He will also have the chance to be straight into the action.

Having signed on Wednesday, Danjuma is eligible to play in the fourth-round FA Cup tie against Preston on Saturday. Spurs beat Portsmouth 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium to progress in the competition and were handed another lower league test, this time needing to travel to Deepdale for their clash against Championship opposition.

Danjuma will be available for selection for Conte, if he wishes to pick the 25-year-old, and therefore could make his debut just days after joining.
