When are Walter White and Jesse Pinkman appearing in the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul?

Better Call Saul’s final season, the spinoff series of Breaking Bad, will see the return of iconic characters Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

The series, focused on lawyer Jimmy McGill also known as Saul Goodman, played a significant part in the Breaking Bad series. Now the two shows will intertwine for its final season.

Better Call Saul takes place before the events of Breaking Bad, but the show also flashes forward to a post-Breaking Bad world. Here’s everything you need to know about Walt and Jesse’s return.

When does season six premiere?

The last season is split into two batches. The first part will premiere later this month on Netflix with its first seven episodes and the second batch of six episodes arrives in July.

We still don’t know exactly how Walt and Jesse will be incorporated in the show and whether the show will tie in with Saul’s first scenes on Breaking Bad or whether we’re getting a different perspective.

The co-creators of Better Call Saul have said it "would be a damn shame" if Walt and Jesse weren’t brought back. Meanwhile, actor Rhea Seehorn, who plays attorney Kim Wexler has teased the final season is going to be “devastating”.

What to expect from season six

At the time of writing we don’t know too much about season six. However, co-creator Peter Gould has revealed the following.

"I think we’re going to learn things about the characters in Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the events of Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the fates of a lot of these characters that may surprise people or certainly throw them into a different light."

The sixth season will most likely be set in their pre-Breaking Bad states, when Walt was still a chemistry teacher.
