Valve’s beloved video gaming platform Steam has announced all the sales and fests gamers can expect to enjoy in 2023.
As always, Steam will hold four major seasonal sale events this year, which will be open to all released games.
Additionally, the platform will have themed sale events known as fests, each shining a spotlight on a particular category of games. The fests will offer discounted games, free games, upcoming releases, and games with demos.
Lastly, Steam will run three Next Fest events, which see gamers enjoy a multi-day celebration with exciting opportunities to try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and find out about upcoming games.
Here is everything we know about when you can expect this year’s Steam sales and fests.
When are the 2023 Steam sales?
This year’s seasonal sales will take place on the dates below.
- Spring Sale: March 16 - March 23
- Summer Sale: June 29 - July 13
- Autumn Sale: November 21 - November 28
- Winter Sale: December 21 - January 4, 2024
When are the 2023 Steam Fests?
This year, Steam is set to host eight fests. One has already taken place in February. The rest are:
- Puzzle Fest: April 24 - May 1
- Sports Fest: May 15 - May 22
- Stealth Fest: July 24 - July 31
- Visual Novel Fest: August 7 - August 14
- Strategy Fest: August 28 - September 4
- SHMUP Fest: September 25 - October 2
- Return of Steam Scream Fest (Halloween): October 26 - November 2
When are the 2023 Steam Next Fests?
The first of the three Next Fests happened in February, leaving two exciting events on the calendar.
The subsequent Next Fest will take place between June 19 and June 26. And, the last Next Fest of the year will happen between October 9 and October 16.
