After trading for Ben Simmons, the question on everyone’s mind in the NBA: When can we expect to see this new version of the Nets actually play?
We haven’t seen Simmons on an NBA court since June 20, 2021 and he is still ramping up his conditioning. Meanwhile, Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant is still recovering from an injury he suffered in January and Kyrie Irving is still ineligible to play home games at Barclay’s Center due to vaccine mandates.
However, New York City mayor Eric Adams recently suggested that the vaccine mandate could get lifted fairly soon. Such a change would allow Irving to play home games, not just road games. Listen to Adams’ full comments here.
So with all that in mind, when will fans get to watch Simmons play alongside Durant and Irving at Barclay’s Center? You can find the latest updates below.
