There’s a big change for Strictly Come Dancing fans to wrap their heads around this weekend as the show will air on Friday rather than it’s usual Saturday night.
The big change in scheduling, brought about as the BBC attempts to accomodate both th e Strictly quarter final and the World Cup knockout out stages, was announced by presenter Tess Daly at the end of last week’s results show, which itself aired over an hour earlier due to the football.
This week’s live show went olut Friday night on BBC One at 8pm as the six remaining couples, including the returning Kym Marsh, who missed last week due to Covid, each battle it out for a place in next week’s semi finals.

The theme for this week was Musicals, with the pairs still left in contention for the famous Glitterball trophy dancing to songs from shows such as Chicago, The Lion King and Fame, in the week that it’s star and singer of iconic theme tune, Irene Cara, sadly died.
When are Strictly results on this week?
Just like this week’s live programme direct from the BBC ballroom, the results will air on a completely different day and a different time to usual.
As the BBC’s schedule is overhauled for World Cup matches, the Strictly results will air on BBC One on Saturday, December 3 at 5.40pm.
As well as a new theatrical number from the Strictly professionals, there will be a performance from the cast of The Cher Show, who have been delighting audiences all over the country this year.
The results show will run for 40 minutes before live coverage of Argentina v Australia.
