Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak was forced to comfort an emotional contestant who was moved to tears after winning over $25,000.
College student Malia from Honolulu, Hawaii joined the game show for its College Week Spring Break event and managed to solve one of the game's major puzzles to take home the winnings and turn around her fortune after she lost out on an additional $40,000.
Wheel of Fortune host Pat was forced to give the college student a comforting shoulder to cry on after she was astounded by her sizeable winnings and found herself struggling to contain tears.
Initially, viewers at home didn't have high hopes for Malia after her first few rounds didn't play out so well. However the international business and marketing student made a major comeback, that saw her win $25,850 after guessing a puzzle correctly.
Host Pat told Malia of her win as he said: "You know, it's a funny little game. Ben had this big lead by a big number, but what you did, is you ended up winning the match with $25,850!"
A thrilled Malia covered her face as she was moved to tears and said: "I'm gonna cry!"
Host Pat led her back to her seat as he comforted her and said: "I know, here, step up here and cry.
"I don't have a Kleenex or anything, so just use your sweater, and I'll be right back."
He returned to the overcome student to place an arm around her shoulder and comfort her. He told her: "Don't cry! Before you cry, pick a category, and then you can just bawl your eyes out."
Whilst the $25,000 of winnings was a hefty prize to take home, Malia didn't manage to snag any more cash on the gameshow as she struggled and failed to answer the bonus puzzle at the end of the show. The loss saw Malia lose out on an additional $40,000 of winnings that she could have bagged.
This isn't the first time host Pat has been forced to comfort a contestant on the show.
Last week saw WWE stars take over Wheel of Fortune including wrestler Austin Theory and his partner Ray.
The pair were left dismayed at the end of the episode, which saw Pat make his way down to the pair where the wrestler dramatically had his head in his hand.
This led the Wheel of Fortune star to ask: "Are you crying? Are you okay? It's gonna be alright. It's gonna be fine, just fine. Earlier in the week, Ray won $24,850, and another $5,000 tonight - $29,850."
