WhatsApp has announced a new "hidden mode" feature.
The popular messaging app confirmed the new feature in an announcement on Twitter. "Hidden mode" will give people more control over what information their contacts can see.
The tweet said: "To further protect your privacy online, we’re rolling out new options to your privacy control settings. Now you can select who from your contact list can see your Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status." - as Mirror Online reports.

The "hidden mode" feature means you can keep some of your information secret from specific people in your contacts. The feature will allow you to choose several privacy options for each setting, including making them visible for nobody, everyone, all of your contacts, and all of your contacts with specified exceptions.
If you decide to restrict a particular person from looking at your personal information, then you will not be able to see their details. The feature is currently being rolled out on the general version of the app, so you'll need to check your Apple App Store or Google Play Store to check if you have the update available.
