Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic admitted he's never experienced an atmosphere like Anfield after he made his first-team debut during Liverpool's 9-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Spaniard was signed from Celta Vigo in 2020 as the club's last overseas players before the introduction of tougher rules surrounding the recruitment of youth players following the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union, with the Reds beating Manchester United to the signature of the versatile midfielder.
Having severely impressed those at Anfield in his two seasons at the club thus far, Bajcetic was streamlined into Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans earlier this summer and subsequently handed a maiden introduction to Premier League life during t he record-equaling win over the Cherries.

"It was unbelievable," the 17-year-old told LFCTV post-match. "Six minutes I think it was 2-0 already. I was on the bench just saying 'unbelievable!' The atmosphere was crazy
"I played in pre-season but it was not the same, this was a massive game and the atmosphere was amazing. I've never played like this. We all knew it was a very important game because we needed our first win, I hope there's more to come."
However, Bajcetic wasn't the only member of Barry Lewtas' under-21s squad to receive their first stripes in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as 17-year-old Bobby Clark - signed from Newcastle United last summer - replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold seven minutes from time.
"I was talking with Bobby [Clark] and saying 'this is our time, I think we're going to come on' and we did. Happy days," added Bajcetic. "I've been playing with him for two years now so he's one of my best friends. I'm so happy for him as well."
It's been quite the start to the new season for Bajcetic as he has been forced to quickly acclimatise to his unexpected promotion to the Reds' senior matchday squads following injuries to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara - coupled with the suspension of Darwin Nunez - as Klopp's crew has already been ravaged by injury just weeks into the new season.
Even if, as expected, Bacjetic returns to the U21s side in the following weeks as Liverpool welcome back those from the treatment room, it will have been quite the experience for the Reds' latest academy prodigy.
