The Boston Celtics will cease to be a team we project our worries, concerns and blind spots onto as of Tuesday. That is when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of the 2022-23 NBA regular season, transforming from a collective of potential to a team with a record.
Who will win? What players on both sides of the court bear watching more closely? Who is due for a breakout season, and what intangible factors could affect the outcome of the game for both ball clubs? While we have had a few months to analyze, project, decry and marvel or grumble at this roster and the moves that created it, the first of 82 regular season tests arrives demanding an answer tomorrow night.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast linked up with Ky Carlin, the editor of our Philadelphia-oriented sister site, Sixers Wire, to try to find some answers ahead of Boston’s season opener.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what the foursome had to say about Celtics-76ers kicking off the season Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET.
