What you can get across Wales for the cost of the average property in Cardiff

Prospective homeowners in Wales's capital face the reality of having an eye-watering six-figure sum stand between them and their dream property. Those looking to get on the housing ladder in Cardiff feel they are being priced of the market as things stand, as the coronavirus pandemic has meant a massive spike in house prices - with the average home now costing more than £235,000.

The average house price in the city has gone from £154,183 to £235,054 in 2021 – a staggering increase of 52.5% over 15 years. This massive rise has left many prospective buyers demoralised and now more are looking further afield outside of the capital.
