What were the surprise songs in Taylor Swift's third Edinburgh gig?

TAYLOR Swift has brought a close to her trio of shows in Edinburgh which kicked off the UK leg of her mammoth Eras Tour.

The US pop superstar, 34, treated rapturous crowds at Murrayfield to hits from across her 11 studio albums for three hours across Friday to Sunday night.

This will be followed by shows elsewhere in the UK with the singer heading to Liverpool next before Cardiff and London.

As always, many fans were wondering what the surprise songs at Sunday night’s show were – here’s all you need to know.

What were the surprise songs?

Anyone who’s a fan of Swift will know she always included a surprise song or two in her set lists at every show.

Initially, Swift (below) told fans she would only play each surprise song once but she has since ended that rule and said she’ll play whatever she wants.

For Sunday night’s surprise songs, she performed It’s Nice To Have A Friend from her album Lover mixed with Dorothea from the Evermore album.

She also performed Haunted from her third album Speak Now mixed with Exile from Folklore.

Famous faces

Some celebrities were spotted at the tour with Scottish actor Sam Heughan, known for his starring role in Outlander, taking to Instagram to thank Swift for an “incredible evening’s entertainment”.

He attended the show on Saturday along with other members of the Outlander cast.

During her first show in Edinburgh on Friday, Swift said she had not been able to play in Scotland for almost a decade and was “wondering what it’s going to be like”.

She revealed ahead of going on stage she was told: “We’ve checked this 20 times and this is the most highly attended stadium show in Scottish history.”

“Thank you Edinburgh for welcoming a lass to your city,” she added.
