The remaining bakers are back in the tent tonight (Tuesday, October 11) taking on three new challenges as the competition to be crowned the next Great British Bake Off champion continues. Last week saw a double elimination, with 23-year-old masters student Rebs and 25-year-old nuclear scientist James becoming the latest to leave the tent.
The contestants took on a Bake Off first - Mexican week - and for the second time this series, it was 29-year-old architectural assistant Maxy who was awarded the 'Star Baker' title. But with a new episode comes a new set of challenges and tonight the eight remaining bakers hope to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their tasty creations to keep their place in the competition.
But what is the theme this week, what challenges will they be set and what time is the episode on TV? Here are all the details you need:
What week is it on The Great British Bake Off?
The Great British Bake Off will continue on Channel 4 on Tuesday, October 11 from 8pm. This week the home bakers will take on 'Dessert week' and face three new recipes set by judges Paul and Prue.
Channel 4 have teased that the bakers will "get all steamed up in the signature" before tackling a classic lemon meringue pie - with no recipe - in the technical challenge. For this week's showstopper the contestants will need to create "a sponge cake with a surprise inside".
You can watch all episodes of the new series so far over on All 4.
