What Tyson Fury did for inspiring young Tottenham fan after Dillian Whyte knock out at Wembley

Tyson Fury invited a young Tottenham fan into the ring moments after retaining his WBC heavyweight title at Wembley. The Gypsy King extended his spectacular record to 32-0-1, beating Dillian Whyte by technical knockout in the sixth round in front of 94,000 fans.

The all-British bout was one of boxing's most highly-anticipated bouts in recent times, with Whyte keen to snatch the WBC belt. But, Fury further cemented himself as one of the sport's all-time greats.

And, despite the typical spur-of-the-moment shenanigans that followed confirmation of Fury's victory, the heavyweight champion spared a heartwarming moment of magic with Spurs fan Marshall Janson. Fury has promised to help pay for the 14-year-old's new prosthetics, according to The Sun.

The report claims that Marshall lost both his arms and legs in life-saving treatment after suffering from meningitis aged one. The Sun add that the youngster is raising money, and Fury has pledged to his devotion to the cause.

Fury met up with the Tottenham fan in the build-up to the fight and promised that he would honour the teenager on fight night. The 33-year-old said: "This man's going to walk my belt out to the ring. Walkout Saturday, and we're going to raise money for his arms."

The Wythenshawe-born boxer kept his word and was pictured inside the ring with Janson. Donning the Spurs skit, he wrapped his arms around Fury, proving to be an incredible inspiration to many across the world.

According to an ITV report from 2019, Janson requires a fresh pair of prosthetic limbs every year until he is 18. They add that the teenager's first legs cost £9,727, while his first hands cost £14,172.

Fury's heartwarming gesture will undoubtedly ease the huge financial burden on the Janson's family, while also building awareness for many others who too suffer from a similar condition. The courageous teenager will be hoping his beloved Tottenham can their inner-Fury in the race for the top four, though the heavyweight champion, who is a Manchester United fan, will also have his eyes on Champions League qualification.
