What TV channel is Manchester United vs Roma on? Live stream, kick-off time and team news

Manchester United welcome Roma to Old Trafford for the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.

It was at this stage of the tournament that Solskjaer's side fell short last season, losing 2-1 to eventual winners Sevilla in a one-legged tie in Germany.

This game will mark the seventh meeting between the two sides. Roma travel to Old Trafford for the first time since a Champions League quarter-final clash in 2008 - a year on from that 7-1 defeat.

Roma have struggled throughout their domestic season so far, currently sitting in seventh place in Serie A. Their chances of finishing in the top four are all but dead, with the Europa League their only viable source to salvage their season and get into next year's Champions League.

What is the early United vs Roma team news?

Defender Chris Smalling could be in line to face his former side after returning from a knee injury at the weekend.

It's a well-timed return as far as Fonseca is concerned. He will be without the services of Gianluca Mancini who is missing due a suspension.

Other recently returning players include forward Stephan El-Shaarawy, wing-back Leonardo Spinazzola and another former United man in the form of the Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Another familiar face on the books at Roma is former Chelsea man Pedro who is set to miss the first leg with a thigh strain.

For Solskjaer, the only players who he won't have to call upon are Phil Jones and Anthony Martial, who are both on the sidelines with long-term knee injuries.

Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba are expected to come into the side having started on the bench in the weekend's 0-0 draw with Leeds.
