West Ham will have to fight it out for a place in the Europa League final on Thursday when they attempt to turn around a 2-1 deficit against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The German side stunned the Hammers last week by beating them 2-1 at the London Stadium in their semi-final first leg, with Ansgar Knauff and Daichi Kamada handing Frankfurt the advantage heading back to Deutsche Bank Park. Michail Antonio did score an important goal to ensure West Ham have something to take to Germany, though it’ll no doubt be a tough challenge against a well-drilled Frankfurt side.
The Hammers have only won once in their last seven games across all competitions, with that being their 3-0 quarter-final victory in Lyon. In the Premier League, they've lost London derbies against Brentford, Chelsea and Arsenal as well as drawing 1-1 with Burnley. Frankfurt’s domestic form hasn’t been great either, with them losing to Bayer Leverkusen on the weekend to leave them 11th in the Bundesliga ahead of Thursday’s tie.
