What's the team news?
For the hosts, they could have Isaak Davies available for selection for the first time this season after he picked up more game time for the under-21s in midweek.
Perry Ng has bruising on his bone following Gary Madine's tackle on him last week, but Mark Hudson has said he is fit to play.
Ebou Adams is out after a setback thanks to a fresh injury to his knee. His frustrating wait on the sidelines remains. Jamilu Collins is a long-term absentee.
What has the manager said?
Cardiff City manager Mark Hudson: "They’re a good side. They’ve got good individuals, midfield and a frontline with good rotations. They’ve got a result from their last match, but we’ll be looking to expand on the first 45 minutes that we had against Blackpool. We want to build upon that, and make it last for a longer period where we play that way.
“We’ve had the meetings with the players and showed that if we play the way that we can over longer periods, then we will get more points from games. If we manage that, then we can go into games confident of being competitive against anyone. We’ve shown that, but we need to take points, be in that ruthless side of the game both defensively and while attacking. We’ll look to get three points on Boxing Day."
