Tournament hosts Qatar get their unlikely World Cup journey under way today as the take on Ecuador in the opening game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Qualifying as hosts, Qatar will certainly have their work cut out for them.
In Ecuador, they face a side who came through qualifying with five home wins and just one defeat, as well as respectable draws against Brazil and Argentina.
They are ultimately up against it similarly in Group A which also features Senegal and the Netherlands.
