Tottenham made their seventh signing of the summer with the arrival and then loan out of Destiny Udogie this week but who they can sign next will be determined by who they can register in their squad.
Spurs have been busy this week with the arrival of the 19-year-old Udinese left wing-back as well as the departure of Giovani Lo Celso on loan to Villarreal, with Tanguy Ndombele set to follow out the exit door for the season with a loan switch to Serie A side Napoli. However, Tottenham's managing director of football Fabio Paratici and head coach Antonio Conte still have to pay attention to their numbers of homegrown and foreign players if they are to bring in any new signings.
The absence of Cristian Romero, with football.london revealing that the Argentine will be out for three to four weeks with a muscle injury picked up in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, could prompt Spurs into the market for another centre-back to help bolster Conte's options and those foreign player limits will play their part in who can be registered for both the Premier League and Champions League with different squad regulations in both competitions.
