It is already the final day of pre-season testing for the 2025 Formula 1 campaign after an eventful two days at the Bahrain International Circuit.
A circuit-wide power outage suspended afternoon running for over an hour on Wednesday, while unpredictable weather conditions continued to cause havoc on Thursday.
It is not ideal given teams receive just three days of official testing before the new season - starting in Australia on 16 March - with each squad running just one car per day, meaning drivers split seat time.
The morning session runs from 7am until 11am GMT. Following a one-hour lunch break, track action continues for another four hours from 12pm until 4pm GMT.

What to look out for on Day 3

Last chance of running for all teams
Testing is practically over before it has truly commenced these days, as Friday presents the final opportunity for all teams to conduct the various programmes they need before the new season.
While the plans of each team is not known, therefore making it unclear who is achieving its targets, the different reactions from drivers might reveal how they feel about the upcoming season.
Should a driver exuberate confidence later on, then it might be fair to assume they believe their team has completed all the required programmes to great success - while the opposite may also apply. Whatever a team has left to run, it must be done today because bags for Australia are already being packed.
How will weather conditions affect proceedings?
A supposedly hotter climate was a big factor in moving pre-season testing from Barcelona to Bahrain, yet that hasn’t exactly gone to plan this year.
The cool and windy conditions on Wednesday made it difficult to exactly determine the 2025 pecking order, while much of the running on Thursday morning was scuppered because of rain.
Is the forecast the same for Friday? Not really. Conditions in Bahrain are expected to be dry and sunny with a consistent temperature of around 17-18C. This will likely be warmly welcomed by the teams.
Will any team attempt a glory run?

F1 pre-season testing is usually full of fun jargon like the term ‘glory run’, which is when a team from further down the grid attempts to set the fastest lap on low fuel. Lap times are not really monitored in testing, so ‘glory runs’ are often nothing more than an exercise to impress potential partners, intimidate rivals or simply to boost morale in the garage.
It is the opposite of what’s known as ‘sandbagging’, when teams attempt to hide their full potential. So, it will be interesting to see on Friday if any teams continue to sandbag, or if in the final minutes of the day a team decides to fit a set of soft rubber and inject some excitement into running.
F1 2025 predictions
The moment testing finishes, focus will firmly be on the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in March, meaning many within the F1 community will start predicting the pecking order and who is favourite for the respective championships.
That is where the fun truly lies. Will McLaren successfully defend its title? Will Aston Martin finally close the gap to the top four? Or is Sauber in for yet another miserable season? They will be some of the talking points the moment the chequered flag is waved, as excitement builds up for Melbourne.
